After last year’s season that was heavily interrupted by lockdowns, the region’s favourite day time performance series, Afternoon Delights returns with a charismatic line-up.
Launching the Afternoon Delights Season are performances by Wilbur Wilde and The Trouble Makers, Ian Stenlake and Michelle Fitzmaurice in Lloyd Webber and the Great Composers and a stunning cast with Salute to the Veterans.
Adding an extra specialty to the Afternoon Delights Season, all performances will include a complimentary Devonshire tea prepared by the Riverlinks Encore Café.
Manager Riverlinks Venues Ken Cameron said he looked forward to sharing the 2022 season with loyal supporters as well as those who may not have experienced a Riverlinks show yet.
“We’re elated to open our theatre so people can experience the thrill of live entertainment again in a COVID-safe environment. The upcoming Afternoon Delights season will provide a variety of entertainment for our community, the saxophone sounds of Wilbur Wilde, the renowned classics of Andrew Lloyd Webber, the emotional story telling of Australian war times and much more, ” Mr Cameron said.
Tickets are available for the first three Afternoon Delight performances, with the remaining season to be released along with the entirety of the Riverlinks 2022 Season in February.
“We are more than excited for the upcoming launch of the Riverlinks 2022 Season. After navigating through the turmoil of lockdowns and restrictions we are eager to bring the community a great selection of entertainment to celebrate the new year,” Mr Cameron said.
