Riverlinks is proud to partner with the committee of the Australian National Piano Award (ANPA) to present Playing for Pleasure, a special concert recital that showcases the region’s finest pianists.
The Playing for Pleasure concert was first conceived when the Eastbank Steinway grand piano was purchased in 2004. Greater Shepparton City Council and ANPA took the initiative to utilise the community’s magnificent new piano by holding concerts for local audiences.
Manager Riverlinks Venues, Ken Cameron says, “We are fortunate to host the Australian National Piano Award every second year. Each year we also host ANPA’s Playing for Pleasure concert. It’s a great afternoon full of wonderful music.”
“Every year, local musicians, music teachers, students and others who share a passion in piano music take the opportunity to perform on the Steinway,” says Mr Cameron.
Playing for Pleasure is at Riverlinks Eastbank on Sunday 30 May from 2.00pm. Entry is by gold coin donation, due to COVID registration is required. You can register in person, online or by phoning the Riverlinks Box Office on 03 5832 9511.
